The Dragons Warriors (竜の戦士, Ryū no senshi) are the four people who received the powers of the dragon gods to protect the red dragon, Hiryuu. They carry the blood of their respective dragons in their bodies which grant them a devastating ability.
The beginning.
The existence of the dragon warriors came when Hiryuu was to be persecuted by the humans and before the founding of Kouka. The four dragon gods tried to help Hiryuu from danger, only to be shunned by him as he loves humans despite their flaws. Because of this, they looked for humans to be their counterparts and granted them their own powers when they made them drink their blood. From this, the first dragon warriors came to the aid of Hiryuu and their land. Together, they founded the five tribes and led them to wars against the neighbouring countries. After the death of Hiryuu, three of them, namely Hakuryuu, Seiryuu and Ryokuryuu, established their own villages and lived there silently to protect their existence from people wanting their powers and to preserve their bloodline.
Background.
Yamazaki Sousuke terlahir sebagai anak yang memiliki darah hakuryu di dalam tubuhnya, yaitu adanya sisik naga pada bagian tangan kanan serta kukunya yang panjang. Kekuatan ini diteruskan turun menurun secara acak pada anak yang baru lahir, terutama jika bayi tersebut memiliki darah maupun genetik yang sama dengan para pendahulu.
Mendapatkan kekuatan naga seharusnya merupakan suatu hal yang terhormat, namun di zaman yang sudah berkembang ini anak yang dialiri darah dari salah satu naga dianggap sebagai kutukan. Mereka dianggap tidak normal dan sering sekali dijauhi serta dikucilkan.
Sousuke yang berumur 5 tahun, diasuh oleh seorang pria bernama Riku yang masih memiliki kekuatan naga putih, dia diajari berbagai macam hal, dimulai dari cara menggunakan kekuatan, bela diri, menggunakan senjata tajam dan cara menjadi manusia normal seperti pada umumnya.
Mereka tinggal jauh dari kota dan desa, melakukan PENGASINGAN diri. Riku membawa Sousuke agar bisa hidup sedikit lebih aman ketimbang berada dilingkungan banyak orang.
Beberapa tahun setelahnya, saat Sousuke berumur 15 tahun, Riku meninggal karena penyakit tua dan kekuatan naga putih seutuhnya menjadi milik Sousuke. Sebelum kepergiannya, Riku memberi pesan pada Sousuke agar pergi melihat dunia luar dan meninggalkan rumah yang mereka tempati saat ini. Maka dari itu, beberapa hari setelah kepergian Riku, ia berangkat dan akhirnya tiba di Shibuya.

Yamazaki tidak sekolah karena keadaan, meski begitu ia mendapatkan pembelajaran dasar dari buku-buku usang yang Riku bawa, sehingga dirinya tahu mana yang boleh dilakukan dan mana yang tidak boleh dilakukan.
Sering menggunakan obat-obatan tradisional, namun sekarang sudah mulai dikurangi karena tidak menemukan bahan yang diperlukan.

| Sousuke holds the power of the dragon within his right hand, which becomes the white dragon's claw when he uses it. At rest, his hand is of normal size, albeit scaled and with long nails; however, if he so chooses, Sousuke can grow his hand to an exceptional proportion and utilize it in battle. At most, his hand has been seen to grow to the size of his entire body. |
Immense Strength: The claw of the white dragon is stated by Sousuke to have ten times the strength of a normal man, and Sousuke has proven this by lifting extremely heavy loads that others are incapable of. Such strength also means that Sousuke can easily slice through solid objects with a wave of his hand, and he is often seen using his claw as a weapon instead of traditional blades.
Aside from in battle, Sousuke sometimes chooses to use his claw in the place of tools, digging and even scaling the sides of buildings with the help of his sharp nails. Sousuke regards his dragon's claw as being sacred, refusing to "tarnish" it in any way and scolding those who make fun of it or those who act with insolence towards it.

| As one of the four dragon deities, Sousuke has the ability to sense the presence of the other three dragons, and can discern their location and their identity (i.e, which dragon they are) even whilst being in a different part of the country. Despite his efficiency in this area, Sousuke has been seen to become motion sick if the target he is trying to locate moves around too much in a close proximity. |
